Endodontics

The Endodontics, commonly known as root canal, is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases affecting the dental pulp area where the nerve of the tooth and the tissues around the root tip of the tooth.
Aims at the conservation of the tooth in the mouth, when hit by tooth decay, fracture, trauma, excessive wear or pathology around the root tip of the tooth, affecting the viability of the dental pulp, which leads to this kind of treatment so we can preserve the teeth.
Occasionally, situations may arise endodontic failure, making it necessary retreatment or extraction.
This procedure can be performed in one or more sessions, depending on the degree of difficulty of the intervention, after which the tooth restoration should be done with restorative materials, or even, with a crown of fixed prosthesis.
